Stock Markets Report 30th April

Europe Stocks

The European market posted a volatile session on Thursday.

The European Euro Stoxx 50 Index declined 0.23% lower to 3,608.92, while the French CAC 40 Index slid 0.20% lower to 5,029.55 at the time of writing. The German DAX 30 Index lost 0.04% to 11,427.30 and the UK’s benchmark FTSE 100 index was down 0.31% to 6,924.11.

Oil Declines as US Crude Inventories Advances to Record

Both crude benchmarks dropped sharply on Tuesday before the release of the US crude stockpiles report.

Prices for the North American West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for June delivery went down 1.34% to $56.23 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange at the time of writing. The European benchmark Brent crude for June settlement slid 1.16% lower to $64.08 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange.  Read more

Stocks Market Report 28th April

Asia Stocks

Stocks in the Asian region were seen trading in the green territory on Tuesday, despite the downbeat retail sales report from Japan.

The Japanese benchmark Nikkei 225 Index edged 0.73% higher to 20,129.05 points, while Tokyo’s Topix Index advanced 0.67% to 1,629.87 points. The Japanese yen weakened against the greenback on Tuesday, trading at 119.08 yen per dollar.  Read more
