Stock Market Review 27th February

Stocks in Asia, Europe and US were seen trading in between gains and losses as traded digested the downbeat US jobless claims and the annual CPI rate.

Wall Street stocks were mixed,  the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index fell to 2,111.74  points (0.15%), while the Dow Jones Industrial climbed to 18,214.42 (0.06%) and the Nasdaq Composite slid 0.42% to 4,987.89. 

In Europe, the European Euro Stoxx 50 Index edged 0.94% higher to 3,574.94 points, while the German DAX 30 Index rose to 11,327.19 (1.04%), the French CAC 40 Index climbed to 4,910.62 (0.58%) and Britain’s benchmark FTSE 100 Index was up 0.21% to 6,949.73.

In Asia, the Japanese Nikkei 225 Index rose 0.06% to 18,797.94, while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index was gained 0.02% to 24,908.07.
